The annual MisinfoDay event brings together high school students, educators and librarians to learn how to navigate complex information environments and make informed decisions about what to believe online. The event features a series of interactive workshops led by experts from the University of Washington (UW) and Washington State University (WSU) and an immersive misinformation-themed escape room game experience — Loki’s Loop.

The workshop content is informed by the MisinfoDay Youth Advisory Board, which is made up of students from a number of high schools in Washington state, to ensure the program is fun, relevant, and engaging for teens.

We can start planting seeds, getting [students] thinking about these different tools and then hopefully, they’re going to their classrooms and trying them out with their teachers, talking about them with their friends. — MisinfoDay Program Coordinator
