The University of Washington‘s Center for an Informed Public has been proud to work in partnership with UW Medicine‘s Department of OB-GYN and the UW Department of Communication‘s Communication Leadership Master’s Program on a social media campaign to dispel misinformation while addressing fears some expecting families may have about COVID vaccines.
“Misinformation about vaccines happens when there is a data void, an absence of information. We are trying to eliminate the data void about vaccines during pregnancy so that people everywhere can be truly informed about the COVID-19 vaccine,” said Kolina Koltai, a CIP postdoctoral fellow who contributed her expertise studying anti-vaccination and vaccine-hesitant communities online.
